Being a newbie in the business, you need to set up the following:
1. Business email address - you need identification that you are really doing business. Personal email addresses may not work and is not really professional to look at.
2. Phone - This can be used as one of your communication tool for your business and your business clients may be calling from different states.
3. A computer and Internet Connection - If you are serious about doing a promotional items business, it's also important to have yourself hook in the internet. You may be looking some prospects over the net because you can find lots of contacts in websites. And this is also one way to check if you have an email coming from your customers.
4. CRM Software or Customer Relationship Management Software - This software stores you customer, transactions, appointments, tasks and communication involve for your promotional products business. Although for a start not really necessary, this can make your job a lot easier.
Once you built your promotional products customers, it becomes a long term business because of the possibility of reorders as long as you keep your customers in good hand.
